| Who Are We? Videos for Voices collects used and new DVD's of movies and video games to support the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA). |

What is Apraxia? Apraxia is a motor-planning speech disorder. Children with apraxia of speech know what they want to say, but they have trouble executing the precise movements of their mouth to produce intelligible speech. Treatment requires daily intensive 1:1 therapy with an SLP specifically trained to treat apraxia of speech. Why do you need my help? Can you imagine being told that your child will never talk with their own voice? Many parents of children with Apraxia of Speech have heard these words from their doctors and therapists. However, with appropriate therapy, children with apraxia of speech CAN find their voice and talk on their own! We need to raise awareness and funding for www.apraxia-kids.org so every child can have a chance! |
